Gregg’s extensive property insurance background includes serving in roles including CFO, COO and other management positons. In these roles, he managed and led all aspects of company operations, finances, and distribution. Fresh out of college, he began his career serving as a Controller with a Property Insurance company licensed throughout the southeast US.
Several years later he was recruited for his start up, finance & operations expertise. In this role, he was charged with sourcing and directing implementation of call centers, financial institutions, investment brokers, back office administrators, and professional partnerships. This facilitated the rapid set up of finance and operations components for a domestic
Stan’s insurance career started when he moved to Florida to help elect Bill Gunter as State Treasurer and Insurance Commissioner. Because of his professional expertise, Mr. Parsons was a key member of Bill Gunter’s political, legislative and management team and worked in numerous management positions throughout the Florida Department of Insurance.
After leaving the Florida Insurance Department, Stan’s insurance career greatly expanded. His roles have included serving as principal of a retail insurance agency. He also successfully managed judicial receiverships and rehabilitation of troubled insurance companies in multiple states and U.S. possessions. In addition, he has lobbied insurance issues at the State and Federal levels. Currently he maintains an active general line and surplus lines agent license.
Stan is married with two children; he enjoys family activities, traveling, cinema, as well as civic and cultural activities. He is also the Director and Treasurer of several non-profit service organizations. Mr. Parsons graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in Urban Affairs and Economics
partnerships. This facilitated the rapid set up of finance and operations components for a domestic based insurance company. Company generated $190M in revenues insuring $17.5B in property value for 100,000+ policyholders in the first 12 months of operations. Here he served as Chief Financial Officer and VP of Operations. Gregg is also a licensed 220 General Lines Insurance Agent.
Mr. Patterson is also the CEO with Innovative Management Services, LLC. Since 1997 his company has been providing back office services to organizations with a local, regional, national and international presence. These services include accounting, bookkeeping, bill payment, payroll management, project management, HR, and more. Each client has the option to scale these services to match the size of their organization. Clients have access to Staff Accountants, Controllers or Chief Financial Officers on an “as needed basis”.
As an alumnus of Florida State University, Gregg graduated with an Accounting degree from the College of Business. Gregg moved to Tallahassee to attend FSU with no intentions of staying. He has been married to his wife Morgan Patterson for over 28 years. Now after four children and five grandchildren, it appears he is here to stay.
In 2014, at the insistence of his wife, they walked the 500 mile Camino starting in St Jean de Port, France to Santiago, Spain. In 2015, the FSU Film School produced a documentary about this trip and their spiritual transformation. In 2016 they hiked the 100 mile West Highlands Way in Scotland starting in north Glasgow and ending in Fort William. It is their goal to walk on every continent. “Once you have met, conversed and broken bread with others, you find most all of us are on the same page. He also serves on the board of Sunrise Rotary and is the past Chair of the Capital Area of the American Red Cross. He serves in leadership roles with Choose Tallahassee and Canopy which is a large master planned community currently in the early stages of development . Gregg is the Chair of Move Tallahassee, a walking group that meets twice a month to walk on our greenways and parks.
